The audience searches in private, not in public
Someone selling an aircraft quietly is not browsing listing sites. They are searching for off-market and confidential handling, which is a completely different set of words.
UNIBRIGHT SOLUTIONS · SEO & PAID SEARCH · CASE STUDY
Celestial sources and sells private jets, superyachts, museum-grade antiques and one-of-one collectibles for clients who want the transaction handled quietly. We made the firm findable to the handful of people who can actually transact, without making its clients visible.
01 / THE PROBLEM
Celestial sources and sells things most people never see listed: private jets, superyachts, museum-grade antiques, one-of-one collectibles. The clients are buyers, sellers, brokers and collectors who want the transaction handled quietly.
That creates an unusual marketing problem. The audience is tiny — a few thousand people worldwide could buy a jet this quarter. Ordinary digital marketing is built for the opposite situation: reach lots of people, convert a small percentage. Here, reaching lots of people is simply wasted money.
There is a second tension. The business sells discretion, and most marketing is the enemy of discretion. Whatever we did had to make the firm findable without making its clients visible.
REVIEW
Someone selling an aircraft quietly is not browsing listing sites. They are searching for off-market and confidential handling, which is a completely different set of words.
Very low search volume, extremely high value per search. The opposite of the usual trade-off, and it changes what a good campaign looks like.
They search differently from principals, they transact repeatedly, and they are worth targeting separately.
Nobody discusses a nine-figure asset with a firm they have just found. Verification, escrow and confidentiality had to be visible before the enquiry, not after it.
Page structure and headings did not carry the asset categories or the positioning, so search engines had little to work with on a site with few pages.
BUILT
Aircraft, vessels, collectibles and specialty assets each treated as their own area of demand, because someone selling a jet and someone buying a graded coin are not the same person.
Off-market, confidential, private sale, verified buyer. The words the audience actually uses, which also happen to be the words nobody else is bidding aggressively on.
Different message, different search terms, and a far better return, since a broker who trusts you comes back repeatedly.
Background checks, proof-of-funds validation and secure handling brought forward, because at this value the first question is whether the counterparty is real.
No broad campaigns, no awareness spend. A small number of terms where the searcher is already in a transaction.
A short, confidential route to a conversation rather than a public form that invites browsing.
05 RESULT
MEANS
Three transactions made the month. A campaign optimised for traffic would have spent more and closed less.
A phrase searched forty times a month is worthless to most businesses and decisive for this one. Value per search matters more than searches.
People searching for confidential handling are searching precisely because they want privacy. Being findable for that is not a contradiction — it is the whole proposition.
At this value, verification and escrow are not reassurance at the end of the page. They are the reason someone makes contact at all.
A principal transacts occasionally. A broker who trusts the process brings deal after deal.
FIX
Worth being straight about:
Marketing brings the enquiry. Sourcing an off-market aircraft depends on relationships we did not build and cannot replace.
Three deals in a month is not a monthly rate. At this value, results are lumpy by nature, and any agency promising otherwise is guessing.
The audience is finite. Beyond a point, more budget reaches people who cannot transact at this level.
Deals of this size take time. The enquiry that closes in March may well have arrived in January.
WORKS
Any business with very few possible customers and very high value per customer has this shape of problem. Private aviation, superyachts, fine art, rare collectibles, large industrial equipment, specialist professional services.
The approach is the same each time: find the small number of phrases where the searcher is already in a transaction, speak to each buyer type separately, put trust before the pitch, and measure deals rather than traffic.
Most marketing asks how many people we reached. Here the only question is whether the right three showed up.
NEXT STEP
Tell us what a single closed transaction is worth to you. If the answer is large enough, we will show you the handful of searches where your next buyer is already looking, and what it would cost to be the firm they find.
